The desire of a man is his kindness to the poor. Many a time human beings yearn to do the right thing, especially when they have been blessed with abundance and wish to share it with those suffering lack. It a plant has to grow it needs water, air, sunshine, manure, favorable environment and a gardener to take care of it. In the same way mankind has need of certain basic necessities like food to eat, clothes to wear, a place to stay, health in the body, peace of mind, good intensions, in families with parents, relatives, houses, lands, wealth and good education. The purpose of this charitable society is, to reach out to the poor and underprivileged of our social setup and provide them with vary basic of necessities. However, many of the poor living in urban India cannot afford the minimum of any of these basic needs. Many of these barely make a living and hardly get a meal a day of these basic needs. They do not have water or housing facilities. They live to makeshift straw houses and wear rags for cloths, and have no shoes at all for their feet. It is therefore with the aim reaching these under-privileged people and offering them the basic necessities of life, through the charity. The Purpose and Vision of Trust.
God’s Grace Church & Trust is a voluntary organization registered under trust Registration Act. (Registration No: 1063/04) The mission has been working as a social service organization right from its inception. This charitable mission is the brainchild of Pastor R Ebenezer, who was mightily inspired by the great missionary works done by the large Christian Organizations of the world and his like minded friends.
When he set up the Mission in Shanmugapuram, Chennai, Tamil Nadu he was hardly prepared for the sight of the sick and suffering people who came to him for help. There were people who were cast out of their homes, having no place to stay, let alone earn a living; drug addicts, alcoholics and orphans kept in bondage by their masters, Aged sick people off the street especially women not cared for by their families and most of all, poor people off the streets. With grit and determination he set about this task. Members of the mission would contribute regularly as much as possible but seen that most of the members comprising the little congregation were almost as poor as he was, the task was even harder.
Rev. Dr. R Ebenezer who is having an experience of over 20 years in social work and being as church missionary for over 17 years as Pastor, trusted in God to provide these lost souls, and invariable a ray of light came shining through dark clouds when somebody would bring in an offering.
