History

When we sway back to the year 1996 our managing trustee Rev. Dr. R Ebenezer lay the stepping stone to initiate our trust. Rev. Dr. R Ebenezer who is having bunch of experience over 20 years in social work and he has been working as a church missionary over 17 years as Pastor, trusted in God to provide these lost souls.

Since his home town is a small & Remote village in Tamil nadu (in South India), he had realized and acquainted with the bitter impact of poverty and illiteracy. So, he was interested to be involved in charitable services to exterminate poverty and illiteracy which is still prevailing in the rural areas of tamilnadu. This provoked him to launch "GOD GRACE CHURCH AND TRUST. At the outset he helped the poor village children and aged by providing food and clothes. He also gifted uniforms, food and stationary items to the poor school children who belong to the families which basically depend on daily wage or agriculture. Our church & trust is engaged with social service along with church activities since Christianity says about sharing of love and benevolence.

"GOD GRACE CHURCH AND TRUST" was established in 2004, registered under the Indian Trust Act 1882, with registration number 1063/04, with four board members who were interested in rendering non-profit social service by putting hands to lend service with our managing trustee.

The milestones which we have travelled through are:

  2004:- we have started focusing on health issues in our society by conducting medical camps for eye, blood, HIV/AIDS through which lot of rural people got treatment for their visual problems and got awareness about donating blood & about HIV/AIDS. We also helped the people affected by tsunami in the coastal areas of Tamilnadu.

 2005:- We started providing "Education to all. We have initiated free tuition for the children under Below Poverty Line to get quality education given by trained teachers. We also implemented the activity of providing non-formal education in the evening hours to educate every one irrespective of age.

 2006:- We have implemented the activities to Empower the status of women by providing them tailoring machines along with the vocational training. We also formed Self Help Groups for women through which they can be economically independent and also contribute their family income.

 2007:- We started focusing on women's health by providing training to the women in self help groups so as to make them aware of and also to prevent the dreadful diseases like cervical Cancer, Yeast Infection, and Abnormal discharges.

 2008:- We involved in the process of maintaining a good Eco system. As a part of it we have completely eradicated "Parthenium Hysterophorus weed" which is a toxic plant which causes skin diseases.

 2009:- We have implemented providing counseling services for women to give awareness on the legal rights to which they are entitled and to protect them from Domestic Violence, Gender based Violence, etc. We primarily focused on aspect to protect women from atrocities.

 2010:- Our main aim for this year is to encourage the people to grow trees and to prevent deforestation and by doing that we want to maintain good Ecosystem to prevent Global Warming.
